February 4, 2026
The hall at Encore Community Services was fully packed this month.
Emily waltzed through the room as she opened the session with “Never Fall in Love with an Elf”, accompanied by a singing audience. Michael impressed the audience by singing “On The Street Where You Live” in English and German. Then an audience member stood to dance as he sang “Over the Rainbow.”
Sarah’s rendition of “Songbird” by Fleetwood Mac brought the sweetest smile to the face of a woman in the front row. Robin celebrated the upcoming holiday with “My Funny Valentine.” Then the room filled with cheers as she sang “Journey to the Past” from ANASTASIA. Ashley had every audience member swaying as she beautifully belted “At Last” by Etta James.
When James sang “The Nearness of You,” one woman knew every word and moved to the front row to be closer.
The performer who stole everyone’s hearts (and the show) was Iris, Ashley’s daughter. She beautifully danced to all the songs during the sessions and then sang a duet of “Let It Go” with Emily. We are so grateful to our always brilliant accompanist, Noah, who was also able to find the sheet music to Iris’s favorite song from FROZEN.
We cannot wait to go back to our friends at Encore Community Services!
