About Session

From Session Leader Morgan Kirner:

It was a lovely day in NYC! The weather outside was gorgeous, and so were the smiles on the faces of the residents at 305 West End Avenue. The afternoon was filled with old Broadway classics, some contemporary Broadway and even some pop.

Mason tickled the ivories for a room full of Broadway fans who told us stories about their Broadway experiences between our set. Morgan started the session off with a sunny rendition of “Cockeyed Optimist.” Then Luke brought the house down with his vocals and his tapping (a full tapped version of Kander and Ebb’s “New York, New York.”)

Kaitlin’s spring vocals serenaded the audience with jazz and “Just A Little Bit in Love” and Jackie pulled at our heartstrings with a rendition of “Far from the Home I Love.”

We finished off a very exciting session with a duet between Luke and Morgan, singing “Suddenly Seymour.” Until next time, 305!
