We had a lively session at the SAGE Center on Wednesday afternoon. The audience was eager to sing along and hear more about their favorite songs.
Suzanne kicked off the afternoon with “Manhattan” by Rodgers and Hart. Ren continued with a Hammerstein and Kern song, “All Through the Day.” Ron rounded out the trio with “Some Enchanted Evening” by Rodgers and Hammerstein. The seniors in the audience really knew their musical theater and loved hearing about the differences between the composer/lyricist duos.
Jacquelyn brought contemporary musical theater to the afternoon with crowd-pleasing numbers from THE SECRET GARDEN and WAITRESS. The session closed with a group sing-along to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” featuring a lovely piano solo from Noriko!
