The Memory Café NYU Family Support Program

Step aside, Hollywood Squares, because we had 27 Zoom squares during our time with The Memory Café NYU Family Support Program.

In our virtual sessions, seniors have the amazing opportunity to love and react to music in their comfort zones. Lots of people sang along throughout this session.

An audience member wrote, “This is our first time here and my mother just started singing along! I had to step away to cry my tears of joy and appreciation. Thank you for this. My mother was raised in the Caribbean and came to the US in 1970… I didn’t even know she knew some of these songs! Music really can and does connect the world.”

Thanks to the wonderful people at NYU and to the amazing voices and spirits of Hanley, Becca, and Jean, who connected us all with the joy of music.
