The audience flocked to the front row seats as Sarah opened the session with “Cockeyed Optimist.” Her “Don’t Rain on My Parade” had the entire room yelling and whistling in excitement well before the last note.
Halli touched the audience’s hearts with stories of singing “Goodnight My Someone” to her nieces and nephews before their naps.
Adam’s “Poisoning Pigeons in the Park” had the entire room in stitches and everyone enjoyed his rich voice (singing in both English and Yiddish) during “Bei Mir Bistu Schon.”
After Emily sang “Wizard and I” from WICKED, one of our attendees said he very much hopes she gets a chance to be in the show someday.
The audience peacefully swayed to Ron’s sweet rendition of “Diary” by Bread and then stood to their feet as he sang “My Way.”
Christopher completed the session as he played all pieces flawlessly and drawing wild applause during his piano solo. Throughout the session, one woman sang along to nearly every word and shared how singing along keeps her memory sharp! We cannot wait to return to The Lenox Hill Neighborhood House next month.
