On this gorgeous Spring day, we were thrilled to be back at Bristal Assisted Living, which just opened up its new facility.
Caitlin started us off with a gorgeous “Sound of Music.” Sticking with that theme, Shannon, who always brings such wonderful energy and interesting stories to our sessions, followed with “Climb Ev’ry Mountain.” Susan gave us some history of the standard “Feeling Good” and got us in a good mood.
Ashley, taking us from past musical theatre classics to the future, sang an inspiring “Journey to the Past” from “Anastasia.”
We had a small but mighty group of seniors today. I was in awe of our singers, who were so eager to perform and share their gifts. Even as performers who sing professionally for a living, sometimes we can forget the true power of music. We were all transformed into these stories and all left with big smiles on our faces.
