Hi there! Beth here, one of the SFYS artists who had the pleasure of singing in Sunday’s session!
Our sessions with the DSL members are always filled to the brim with joy, but this one was a full-on joy-explosion filled with so many different kinds of music, from Disney to pop to Broadway to jazz.
These sessions always give me an excuse to sing my very favorite songs, so I brought us some “Tangled,” Mean Girls” and “Anastasia.” Robin gave us some of the greatest step-into-your-powerhouse tunes like “Let it Go,” “Firework” and “Brave” (and guitar playing while slaying). Melanie brought down the house with some “Greatest Showman,” “Out There” and the most epic version of “River Deep Mountain High.” And Lexi shook the earth below and opened the skies above with “Sunny Side of the Street,” “I Feel the Earth Move” and “Blue Skies.”
And of course my favorite part of the evening was seeing the DSL members step into the (zoom) spotlight and show us their MOVES.
It was the most energizing and joyful Sunday I’ve experienced in a long while thanks to these amazing singers and DSL members, and I know I’ll be buzzing all through the week.
