Down Syndrome of Louisville

From SFYS Artist Maggie Elizabeth May: Wow! What an incredible virtual session we with Down Syndrome of Louisville community today! Our screens were filled with smiling faces, bodies swaying in time to the music and an overwhelming sense of joy and play. I started us off with some songs from GREASE, which proved to be quite popular amongst our listeners. Julia gave us a thrilling BEAUTY AND THE BEAST medley that made us all jump out of our seats with delight. Luke, who essentially invented the idea of a multi-hyphenate, played the piano, crooned, and even gave us a dance inspired by THE GREATEST SHOWMAN. Melanie closed us out with a really fun cover of “Walkin' on Sunshine” originally popularized by Katrina and the Waves. As always with our sessions at DSL, our listeners performed for us a grand finale that left all of us with happy hearts, humming the tunes we heard as we said goodbye.
