Our session was a party with Down Syndrome of Louisville this Sunday.
We sang, danced, played air-guitars, and celebrated birthdays. What a way to kick off the week!
Erica, Kendyl, and Beth took the audience on a journey with songs like “Don’t Stop Believing” and “Journey to the Past” from ANASTASIA.
In addition to stellar vocals, Kendyl brought out surprise props and puppets for songs like “Popular” and “I Just Can’t Wait to be King.”
This was Erica’s first session with DSL. She brought the house down with “Shake It Off,” “How Far I’ll Go,” and “Party in the USA.” She definitely received a warm and hearty welcome.
The best part of the concert was when we turned the spotlight on the Kindness Warriors and watched them perform their dance to “Born This Way” by Lady Gaga. We are counting down the minutes until next month’s session!
