About Session

We were excited to offer our wonderful Central Harlem Senior Citizens Centers community a Zoom session with nuanced and eclectic numbers. Session leader, Davon Williams, started off the party with a song from his current production of “5 Guys Named Moe.” The audience then swooned at Kayla Capone Kasper’s rendition of Irving Berlin’s “Blue Skies.” Robin Rothman brought out the guitar for an enticing rendition of “When Will I Be Loved.”

Davon followed up with a jazz rendition of “Waving Through a Window.” Shifting styles, Kayla sang “A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square,” which brought the house down. Robin with her guitar hit the group with a great cover of Carole King’s “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow.”

Davon’s “The Impossible Dream” was followed by Kayla’s “It is Well in My Soul,” which delivered a powerful spiritual sequence that Robin closed out with the forever popular “Jolene” by Dolly Parton. Special thanks to the Fulton Theatre for lending their conference room for this session.
