From SFYS Artist Napoleon Douglas: Another great session with Central Harlem! As we get closer to Thanskgiving, our artists and seniors were especially thankful for the time we have shared over the last few years, both in person and virtually. It was a beautiful thing to witness and I am grateful for a front row seat.
Cynthia presented an eclectic mix of tunes that we all loved. Her “Gimme Gimme” was a highlight; such an animated performance, and the nostalgia evoked during “Manhattan” was enough to bring our listeners to tears.
Speaking of tears - Davon had everyone weeping with his “Wheels of a Dream” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”. His storytelling and sentimentality brought us back to the core of this holiday season: loving your loved ones. All in all, another great day “uptown". See you all next month!
