The room at Alzheimer’s Foundation of America was rich with laughter, clapping, snapping and dancing.
Erica kicked off the high energy session with “Can’t Say No” and was met with giggles from the crowd. Then the entire room sang along with her rendition of “Over The Rainbow.”
Shannon kept the fun songs flowing, even moving one audience member to dance as she sang “It’s A Grand Night for Singing.”
The seniors all felt nostalgic as Susan performed “Hot Diggity” and “Catch a Falling Star.”
Emily had the audience laughing during “Never Fall in Love (With an Elf).”
To close the session, the whole room joined Erica as backup singers during “Be My Baby.”
The audience loved the impromptu harmonies and applauded our flawless accompanist, Noah!
“There are so many regular attendees at AFA and every time I walk into the space, they recognize me. To see their faces light up, excited for the next hour not only warms my soul, it also proves without a shadow of a doubt that music is healing and changes lives.” - Emily Lynne Miller, SFYS Session Leader
