About Session

From SFYS Facilitator Maggie Elizabeth May: Daniel kicked off our session with a festive rendition of “Happy Holidays” from WHITE CHRISTMAS (a show he is currently performing in!). He also sang “Something’s Coming” to honor the late Stephen Sondheim. Jackie played the ukulele, accompanying herself on some Carole King material, and also gave us a slice of Sondheim, “Moment in the Woods, from INTO THE WOODS. Caitlin offered stunning renditions of “The Sound of Music” and “Someone to Watch Over Me.” Finally, Sarah sang a haunting “Stars and Moon” from the contemporary hit, SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD, contrasted by the Golden Age Classic “A Cockeyed Optimist”. We were thrilled to spend this lovely hour together, and look forward to the next session with the Hudson Valley Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
