From SFYS Facilitator Maggie Elizabeth May: Our virtual session yesterday was with our friends at 305 West End! In addition to their Assisted Living services, 305 West End has two private floors fully dedicated to residents living with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory-related cognitive disorders. We love sharing music that inspires feelings of joy while helping to stir memories in the heart.
Maggie opened with “The Sound of Music” accompanying herself on the piano! Staying on theme, Meghan, who was on the Broadway National Tour of THE SOUND OF MUSIC, sang “My Favorite Things.” Chris gave us one of his favorites (and our favorites too!), “Rocklin Robin.” Cynthia, who joined us for the first time virtually, belted out some incredible tunes including, “I’m The Greatest Star” from FUNNY GIRL.
