The Met Opera Chorus artists brought their incredible talent and generous spirit to the elders’ gathering at The SAGE Center. Danielle led both choristers and audience members in joyful participation during the Donizetti aria “Chacun le sait, chacun le dit” in her delightful soprano.
She and bass Ned Hanlon then dipped into classic musical theatre with “Some Enchanted Evening” and “So In Love,” after which a couple shared that “So In Love” had been their wedding song—50 years ago!
The singers concluded with a heartfelt sing-along of glorious Christmas carols. The artists closed the session with “Silent Night”, not leaving a dry eye in the house.
