The Phoenix Rehabilitation & Nursing Center

We had such an uplifting session at The Phoenix Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in collaboration with the Metropolitan Opera. Suzanne kicked us off with a rousing rendition of "I Got Rhythm" to set the tone for the afternoon. Tarver sang a version of "People" that had some of the audience crying. Robert lifted everyone back up with "It Ain’t Necessarily So" from THE GERSHWINS’ PORGY AND BESS.
Danielle gave the opera fans in the audience Musetta’s luxuriously dramatic aria, "Quando me’n vo’." The highlight of the session came at the end, when we all sang "Over the Rainbow." Tarver and Robert provided gorgeous harmonies, and the wonderful residents sang along. Kent brought so much joy to the session as he accompanied the singers on the piano.
