It was so good to be back with the memory care seniors at the NYU family support program.
Our Zoom session was filled to the max with seniors and their families and caretakers. They were in for such a treat with our incredible singers.
We had a special guest join us today, four-month-old Simon, who stole the show during my introduction. He swayed along to the music and sang along (with his microphone muted on Zoom, of course!).
Beth, with her lovely energy and fascinating stories, got us in the mood for Spring with the Rodgers and Hammerstein song “It Might As Well Be Spring.” Staying on a Rodgers & Hammerstein kick, Caitlin sang a beautiful “The Sound of Music.” Lukas brought the house down with “Her Voice” from “The Little Mermaid.” (Lukas’ voice is one you could write a song about!).
It’s so lovely at the end of the session when our seniors unmute themselves to speak of the joy they experience during the session.
We can’t wait to be back!
