An Afternoon with Redeemer East Side Accompanied by Noah Turner, Sponsored by DCLA

About Session

Before the singing began, our artists warmed up by joining the residents for their chair exercise class. From there, the afternoon was filled with joyful music, memories and plenty of singing along. Songs ranged from beloved Broadway show tunes to timeless jazz standards.

Adam kicked things off with “Bei Mir Bistu Shein,” quickly getting the whole room singing and clapping. During Emily’s tender rendition of “Goodnight My Someone,” a senior reached out to take her hand and joined her in singing the entire song. It was the sweetest moment of the session!

Taylor turned up the energy with a showstopping “Don’t Rain on My Parade.” Then Rachel wowed the room with her gorgeous operatic rendition of “O mio babbino caro.”

To close out the afternoon, all of our singers joined together for “Moon River.” It was the perfect finale to a session filled with music, movement, connection and plenty of smiles.
