It was so wonderful to be back at Inspīr to bring some joy on this gloomy day in NYC. Our seniors and some of their family members were ready and waiting for us when we arrived. It’s so special to watch three generations connect as they sway together to old music classics.
When Lukas began to sing “On the Street Where You Live,” one of our seniors, who attends every session, threw his arms in the air and bellowed out the song with him. Danielle sang a beautiful rendition of “Mister Snow” that made our seniors smile and laugh. Maggie sang a SFYS favorite: “Over the Rainbow.” Without fail, by the end of the song, the entire audience of seniors joined in. This song means so much to so many people, and it really is lovely to share it together.
Happy Holiday to our dear friends at Inspīr, and we cannot wait to see them in the New Year!
