About Session

Today’s session was full of heart! Even though it was a blustery, rainy day in NYC, our performers brought sunshine into the memory care unit at Inspīr!

Morgan opened the session with a Disney classic, “For the First Time in Forever.” Suzanne, a beloved former employee at Inspīr, shared tales and tunes from Broadway’s past with classics like, “Take Me Back to Manhattan” and “Always True to You in My Fashion.” Caleb lit up the room with standards from Hello, Dolly! and a classic that had everyone tapping their toes, “Old Devil Moon.” Susan told a beautiful story to the residents about how she first discovered her talent for singing, and followed it up with Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Getting to Know You” and closed the show with “Heart” from Damn Yankees. A special thank you to our accompanist, Christopher, for filling out our session with his beautiful playing.

We are so fortunate to spend time with our friends at Inspīr, and cannot wait to go back next month!
