Our sessions with Down Syndrome of Louisville are so filled with fun and love. Our group gathered up their favorite things to hold during “My Favorite Things” from “The Sound of Music.” Devin and Elizabeth sang a lot of Disney favorites, including two songs from “The Little Mermaid” and “Riverbend” from “Pocahontas.” Lianne sang some famous pop songs, including “Close to You” and “You Don’t Own Me.”
Then we all joined in a song to wish Ellen a very special birthday. We ended our session with “I Put a Spell on You” and a spooky dance with the DSL members in honor of Halloween.
We are so grateful to the wonderful DSL members who bring such warmth and passion to our SFYS sessions. We cannot wait to be back in a month!
