We are always so grateful for a lovely session at Central Harlem! The seniors come out in huge numbers bringing their wonderful energy to every session. Morgan gave us some wonderful classics, such as “Hopelessly Devoted to You” and Carole King’s “You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman.” She has such a beautiful voice and a warm presence. Lianne and Luke, our favorite duo, gave us some of their famous mashups, including one all about travel, which they created during the pandemic when they couldn’t travel. That mash up included “Route 66,” “King of the Road,” and “On the Road Again.”
My favorite part of a session at Central Harlem is when the seniors turn their mics on and tell us what they thought of the session. The members of Central Harlem are so kind, and you can hear their joy in their voices. In the comments section of the zoom meeting, one senior wrote “we learn something new every day! You guys are amazing.” We can’t wait til we’re back at Central Harlem next month!
