We are always excited to spend an afternoon with our energetic friends at Central Harlem Senior Center!
Caitlin started us off with a bang by channeling Carole King with her fantastic rendition of “I Feel the Earth Move.” By the end, it felt like a rock concert as the audience clapped to the beat. She continued with love-themed songs like “I Got Rhythm” and “Goodnight My Someone.”
Suzanne’s gorgeous voice filled our hearts with fan favorites “The Sound of Music,” “What More Do I Need” and “Sunday Kind of Love.” Everyone swayed with delight throughout all of her songs.
When Central Harlem SFYS celebrity, Davon, arrived, the entire room cheered! He performed a brilliant version of “Waving Through a Window” that combined jazz, soul, and R&B. The music fell off the piano at one point but our incredible accompanist, Mason, didn’t miss a beat.
Davon continued to do neat things with his set adding a little Beyoncé’s “Drunk In Love” during the middle of “Moondance.” He closed us out with “Thank You for Being a Friend.” We sure are thankful for our friends at Central Harlem and can’t wait to go back.
