Alexis Tidwell-Bailey brought her solo cabaret show to the elders at Central Harlem Senior Citizens Center.

“My grandmother always enjoyed when I sang her favorite music to her. When I got the opportunity to sing to her as she passed on, I considered how impactful and magical it is for a person to hear music that transports them back to a specific place and time. The same is true for my father, who has frontotemporal dementia. It’s an honor for me to offer that to our elders whenever I can.”

Alexis Tidwell is a New York based actor and singer from Memphis, TN. She received her Master and Bachelor degrees in Choral Music Education from the University of Tennessee.
