The session at Central Harlem Senior Citizens Center was jam packed with old school hits! Much of the performance featured the participants’ favorites, including “Natural Woman,” “What’s Love Got to Do with It,” and “Love Potion No. 9.”
James Lane serenaded the audience with a lovely crooner swing version of “All the Things You Are.” Alexis Tidwell-Bailey brought the house down with Beyoncé’s “Love On Top.” Our accompanist, Noah Turner, impressed everyone with concert piano solos by Debussy. Alexis sang an outstanding finale of “Thank You” with the help of the Central Harlem Senior Center participants.
We had a great time and left the audience with happy faces and toes tapping as they continued to their next activity for the day. Everyone is looking forward to having Sing For Your Seniors back next month.
