From Session Leader Freddie Kimmel: A truly wonderful excursion to the Calvary Hospital in the Bronx for our March SFYS session. Our beautiful audience showed up with smiles, cozy blankets and open hearts. As one senior stated, “If there is one thing I do not miss, it is my Broadway singers....you guys are amazing!"
And believe me, as performers we feel the same way about them.
Three new singers joined our troop: Jesse Swimm, Yaniv Zarif and Barrie Kealoha. They dazzled the crowd with Rodgers and Hammerstein, Barry Manilow, Tina Turner, Lerner and Loewe and more as musical theater classics flowed like water to our eager listeners.
It is always a treat to see professionals in their power, resonating with their natural state and giving their talent so freely. Singing to those who really need the lift is one of the most amazing gifts you can offer and no one needs it more than those seeking treatment at Cavalry Cancer Hospital.
