About Session

Our hour at 305 West End in the Memory Care Unit was incredibly special to all!

Emily kicked off the session with a fun uptempo “Spark of Creation.” When Emily sang at this session last month, she had a special interaction with one audience member who held her hand during her song. The same woman came directly to Emily at this session, hand outstretched for another hand holding moment throughout her song. It was very moving.

Meghan gave us a truly sparkling performance of “My Favorite Things.” Her voice was beautiful on “Hurry, It’s Lovely Up Here,” a song about spring. She is pregnant and getting ready to welcome a new member into the SFYS Family next month.

Danielle's glorious soprano filled the room in songs like “Somebody Somewhere” and “My White Knight.” The audience loved hearing her share about one of her favorite songs to sing, “My House” from MATILDA THE MUSICAL.

Erica’s awesome rendition of “Fools Fall In Love” had everyone toe tapping. When she sang “Fly Me to The Moon,” one woman in the audience played perfect air piano with her eyes closed and a huge smile on her face as she basked in Erica’s soulful voice. It’s so amazing to watch how music can inhabit someone’s soul.

Our fantastic accompanist, Noah played every piece flawlessly and even had a few piano solos throughout the session which drew applause every time.

With our final remaining minutes, all of the artists joined their voices together to sing “I Don’t Know How To Love Him.” Then many in the audience joined the artists during “Goodnight My Someone.” It was such a lovely way to end the session.
