This month’s Sing For Your Seniors session at 305 West End Assisted Living & Memory Care was full of jazz, joy and heartfelt connection — the kind of day that reminds us how music brings everyone together.
Carlos opened with “Be Like the Bluebird” and later brought the room to life with “(I Left My Heart) In San Francisco” — smooth, classic and full of heart.
Deborah Jean made everyone laugh and dance in the aisles with a big, bold “I Love a Piano.” Then she led a beautiful group sing-along with “Life Is Just a Bowl of Cherries.” She even practiced the lyrics beforehand with the seniors — though this group hardly needed rehearsal, as the whole room joined in immediately!
Emily tenderly sang “If I Loved You” as the whole room leaned in. Several seniors even closed their eyes and softly sang along.
Katie brought her charm to “Are You My Love” by Rodgers & Hart and closed the session with a wistful, perfectly placed “Party’s Over.”
Taylor had the crowd clapping and singing along with “I Could Have Danced All Night” and her very funny rendition of “Gorgeous” from THE APPLE TREE had everyone laughing.
From sing-alongs to quiet moments and plenty of laughter in between, this session was a beautiful reminder of what music can do.
