Will Hurwitz is a New York City–based baritone vocalist who loves singing across styles, creating and making people happy through music. Grounded in classical bel canto technique, he brings versatility to repertoire ranging from oratorio and opera to folk, classic rock/pop, and Great American Songbook. A passionate ensemble singer, William has extensive professional experience in sacred music, having served in churches and synagogues in Boston and New York City. He currently serves as bass section leader at the Church of the Epiphany in Gramercy and is on the roster of the New York Philharmonic Chorus. He is also a member of The Stonewall Chorale, the nation’s first LGBTQ chorus. As a theatrical performer, William has appeared in roles including El Gallo in The Fantasticks, a Resistance Worker/Nazi Officer in The Yellow Star with Garden State Opera, and Dr. Cajus in Die Lustigen Weiber von Windsor with Boston Conservatory Opera. William has also performed in cabaret, making his solo debut at Don’t Tell Mama with "Songs of Long Ago: The Music of Carole King," with pianist Paul Greenwood and director Lina Koutrakos. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Voice Performance from The Boston Conservatory.
