About Us

About UsSing For Your Seniors, Inc. started as a small volunteer project in the summer of 2005 by founder Jackie Vanderbeck. The recent passing of Ms. Vanderbecks's beloved Great Grandmother Frances Hughes, who loved to hear Jackie and her friend's sing when they came for a visit, was inspirational for the development of this organization. Starting out as a weekly one-person a cappella hour at the Village Adult Day Center in the West Village of New York City, it soon took shape with the addition and commitment of a pianist and several more singers.

In the spring of 2006, Sing For Your Seniors, Inc. earned a membership with the Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts program of New York and with their assistance received its Certificate of Incorporation on August 24th, 2006. The Board for the corporation was formed and inaugurated soon after and began planning for the up coming year as well as it's December fundraiser in California.

Sing For Your Seniors, Inc. is now looking ahead to expand and grow and continues to be dedicated to bringing the enriching power of music and live performance into the lives of seniors in need.
